Hi, I’m Jenny
I work with owners of professional services firms to give them confidence to grow with the right financial information and infrastructure in place.
I am a chartered accountant and I started Nutshell Accounts in 2019 because I wanted small businesses to have the same level of support that larger businesses get from having an in-house finance team. I am passionate about providing clients with personalised support, with the business advice that they need to succeed.
I believe that the relationship between a business owner and their accountant has to be one based on trust and mutual respect. My clients come to me, not just with accounting issues, but with business decisions and worries and this is because everything is driven by a knowledge and understanding of their numbers.
My career has taken me through many different roles: from training to be an Auditor in a central London firm, to a finance analyst in an Insurance company, to managing the group budget process at BBC Studios. I have extensive experience of creating budgets, forecasts and relevant KPIs, presenting to Board members and implementing appropriate systems, controls and processes for different sized businesses.
My own systems and processes have evolved over the past few years to factor in new employees and a growing business. I know what it is like to get to the crunch points, but also how to overcome them!
As your finance team, we provide a full outsourced service for most of our clients, including all compliance filings with HMRC and Companies House. With the numbers taken are of, we are able to provide up to date management information to our growing clients and have regular meetings with those that require it to keep business decisions timely and relevant.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Jenny has built her own accountancy firm from scratch and specialises in working with other professional services firms to help them put the right infrastructure in place to grow their own businesses. They can even take a day off now and then to spend with family and friends – without that constant worry at the back of their mind.
She works closely with business owners to help them identify opportunities to improve their profit margins, cover their costs, and feel confident in their business decisions.

Heather comes from a strong Bookkeeping background starting her career in accounts for The Sanctuary House Hotel in Westminster.
She is now studying for her ACCA qualification and assists our clients with all sorts of queries from Xero questions through to tax and accounting issues.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Megan began her accountancy career in September 2020, training at a small firm in Cambridgeshire. She is Level 3 qualified in AAT and is currently working towards her Level 4 qualification and always eager to learn more.
She has a particular passion for working with Xero, helping businesses streamline their finances and create tidy accounts!
Teri Hall
BOOKKEEPER & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Teri has a diverse background starting in London where she managed day-to-day operations and financial tasks as a personal assistant.
As part of the Nutshell team, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping for our clients and is meticulous in making sure they are all up-to-date!
